This temple is situated in the hamlet Nguwot, Sambirejo Village, Kec. Prambanan, Kab. Sleman, Yogyakarta. Sambirejo village also has two fairly well-known temples, the Temple and the Temple Ijo Barong.
Walk
The location of the temple is situated on the hill and in the middle of the jungle. To be able to Miri Temple, have relied on electric poles towering trees amid thick forest. Conditions there is wholly forest interspersed with fields owned by residents.
In the Jungle
Long story short, I arrived safely and of course tired at Temple Miri is more appropriately called the cornfield. I'm confused, all the way when I want to rest, the sun suddenly shines hot. There I found the shattered condition of the temple. The temple is situated on a small hill. I guess a small hill that is the foundation of the foot of the temple, while I was on top of the temple. No one would suspect that the rocks that littered and overgrown with plants it is a temple if not observant observing the surrounding conditions.
According to the website Wikipedia and Tourism Sleman, long ago had found a statue of Shiva, Nandhiswara, and Agastya in the vicinity of this temple site. When I get there, I did not find any statues, ah maybe because I'm lazy just tear apart megobrak weeds to look for it. Which indicates that this temple is a Hindu temple is a two-yoni which is right next to the west, it seems also the entrance of this temple faces west. With the two yoni, it could be this temple has a chapel. But again I'm lazy to observe their surroundings, were filled with weeds, muddy soil, and also animals that if a reptile. Hiii ...
Because?
If the view of the location of this temple is the middle of the forest, would seem hard to imagine this temple will be renovated to be intact. Also on the internet was no detailed description associated with this temple. Oh well, maybe this temple should indeed be left sitting surrounded by thick grass. For those who want to come here, I recommend to think very carefully, but if you are indeed people who like adventure so go ahead. And why am I willing to come here? Taking the total outbound trips in the woods for 2 hours just to watch the stone ruins of the temple? I do not know, the feeling of a man to a woman sometimes can move the heart and soul. At least I just hurt my own and not someone else, do not you Rabbit?

Forest terrain that must be traversed.
The view from the top of the hill.
Watu Leter
One corner Watu Leter
Not far from the Temple of Miri, which is northeast about 200 meters, we will find a land full of rocks rocks. Right in the northern land is ravine, and from these locations we can witness the beauty of the vast panorama of paddy field green background of Mount Merapi. This location is called Watu letter by the local community that means a flat stone. But it seems deliberately flat, because I find some niche in the cliff that looks unnatural, like a box. I suspect this location is the place of extraction of stone for the temple construction Miri. According to some references also, at one corner of the ravine there is a similar stone statues. But the gap has been filled by the shade of trees, so hard to make sure the truth.
